Hello, hello, and welcome to another episode of the Abundantly Clear podcast! I’m your host, Malorie Nicole, and I’m excited to dive into a topic that I believe will resonate with many of you: breaking free from overwhelm and transforming your life and business through identity work.

As someone who works with business owners every single day, I’ve noticed a recurring theme among my clients: the struggle to achieve success without feeling constantly overwhelmed. Whether you’re just starting out or running a multi-seven figure business, the balancing act between personal well-being and professional success can be challenging.

So, how do we overcome this challenge? The first step is to dive into identity work.

Identity work begins with the decision of who you want to be and whether your current self is aligned with the kind of life you want to live. Before you even think about the “how” and putting systems in place, you must decide who you are and what story you’re telling yourself about your performance, responsibilities, and ability to receive help and support.

For example, if you’re constantly telling yourself that you’re overwhelmed and exhausted, you’re unknowingly seeking validation for that belief throughout your day. This confirmation bias keeps you trapped in a cycle of overwhelm and struggle.

On the other hand, if you shift your inner dialogue to one of flow, balance, and the belief that you can manage your responsibilities, you’ll be more likely to create a fulfilling life and business experience.

And let’s not forget the importance of asking for help and receiving support. As I mentioned in previous episodes, delegating tasks and seeking assistance when necessary is crucial for maintaining balance and avoiding burnout. However, you must first identify whether your current self-image allows for such support or if it’s wrapped up in the belief that you must do everything on your own.

This message isn’t just for those starting out in their entrepreneurial journey; it’s for anyone striving for personal and professional growth. We all have the power to rewrite our stories, and it all starts with examining our inner dialogue and the stories we tell ourselves.

So this week, I challenge you to dive deeper into your identity and the stories you’re telling yourself about your life and business experience. Reflect on whether these stories are serving you or holding you back from achieving the success and well-being you deserve.

Remember, you have control over your narrative, and you have the power to create a life of expansion, wealth, and purpose. It all starts with identity work.

Quote:

“The story you’re telling yourself in your inner dialogue creates how you allow yourself to live.”
